ABOUT National Institute
for Innovative Leadership
The National Institute for Innovative
Leadership, Inc., created in 1996, is a not-for-profit 501 (3) (c) organization
formed to serve and advance the field of early care and education with a major
emphasis on quality care and education programs and services.
One of our major projects has been the development of web-based
early learning data management software,
WEB Early Learning System ( WELS
). We developed this tool that would help programs of all sizes and ease the
burden of paper work and the additional time in order to meet and document
goals, progress and outcomes.
With early childhood moving so quickly to high levels of accountability both
for programs and children, we wanted to create a software application that
was:
- flexible and ability to customized to meet specific and current data collection
- reasonable in cost to use and maintain
- easily accessible to users to document their
work, demonstrate their progress, show what is working and emerging trends
- generate reports that supply information, provide accountability
and inform decision making
