Accomplishments
Enhance the quality of 65 subsidized early care and education programs serving at risk infants, toddlers, preschool and school-age children.

Increase skills and knowledge of approximately 600 staff and 65 child care directors in providing high quality care and education.
430 staff and 67 directors
Establish and provide professional development continuum based on needs of program staff and directors. Design includes in-depth study and support offered bilingually for curriculum development and implementation using models such as High/Scope, Creative Curriculum and Program for Infant and Toddler Caregivers.
Assist teaching staff with scholarships in obtaining a CDA or AA/AS Degree in Child Development and Education offered by Miami-Dade Community College.
47 staff are currently participating in scholarship programs.
Work with community organiztions and business to establish direct partnerships for program support. Facility grants obtained to support improvements for 18 programs, grants amount: $264,000
